LISTEN: Flesh Eaters - New Release by Prayer Line
Cover art by Audrey Nelson |
In celebration of the dark-duration, high-static days of a bloody crack-and-chafe Kentucky fall, Prayer Line have unleashed a track to further distract you from the impending pain. A quick stab of a song, coming in at 2m40s on the death clock, Flesh Eaters serves as a fine sampling of what this ghoulish group has to offer. With a tense intro featuring sounds of lapping water and panicked film dialogue over a low pulsing synth, the composition breaks open into a driving guitar riff and impressive call-and-response vocal attacks that carry thru until the bitter end. Recorded at the Slaughtered Lamb in Louisville, Kentucky, mixed'n'mastered by the inimitable Dave Chale at Deadbird Recording Studios, and Misfitsian-surf in it's assertions and meter, Flesh Eaters doesn't care if you're grossed out or over stimulated. It prefers you that way.
If you're ready and willing to surrender your souls, your guts, and your ears to the sounds of Flesh Eaters, you can listen to it here then decide if you want to pick up the limited edition Prayer Line/Vaderbomb split 7" vinyl that'll be available at the Kaiju Halloween XIX, Friday October 25th.
Good times. Dead things. Spooky shit. Punk rock.
